Measuring Internal Stress
What is internal stress?
Generally speaking, it is thought that internal stress is caused by distortion in the material of sample. In this case, distortion means degree of deformation including change of volume, and stress means internal force per unit area which is being applied on a cross section, in other words, the force which adjacent areas of inside of an object give influences to each others.
Products to measure internal stress
We have 2 different products to measure internal stress. One is the Spiral-Contract meter, which is compliant to JIS H8626 and ASTM B636/636M-15 standards. The other one is Strain Gauge-Type Stress Meter, which measures stress of substrate by using sensor.
